Dr Lior Sagi
Dr Sagi offers an impressive depth of experience in screening and treatment of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers and extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of common skin diseases.
Dr Avland Amiri
Originally from New Zealand, Dr Amiri was awarded his Bachelor of Medicine in 1998 from Charles University Prague before completing an internship at the University Hospital Charles Medical Faculty, Pilsen, Czech Republic.
Dr ANISHA BHULLAR KS
Dr. Bhullar has extensive medical experience spanning over 14 years, including working as a physician and a Consultant Dermatologist. She has worked both in Malaysia and Singapore prior to migrating to Australia. She is currently working towards gaining her fellowship with the Australasian College of Dermatology.
Yes, you do need a referral from your Doctor or other Specialist to see a Dermatologist. Please bring your referral with you or ensure that your Doctor has faxed the referral through to the Dermatologist prior to your appointment. Referrals are normally valid for 12 months, however you should confirm this with your Doctor. Once your referral has expired, you will need a new referral.
You will be advised of the approximate cost of your initial consultation either via a letter or over the phone. Any additional procedure or treatment will incur an additional cost. Please speak to our friendly staff for any further details regarding fees.
We are not a bulk billing service.
You will receive a rebate from Medicare for your consultation and procedures. This can be processed at time of payment.
Private Health Fund
Currently Private Health Funds do not cover dermatology.
It is advised that you leave the area of concern clear from any makeup, moisturisers or topical treatment to allow for a thorough observation of the condition.
Reservations and Cancellations
When cancelling or rescheduling a regular appointment, please contact the office at least 1 business day prior to the scheduled appointment date. When cancelling or rescheduling a surgical appointment, please contact the office at least 3 business days prior to the scheduled visit. Failure to do so will result in a $100 cancellation fee.

Having recently moved to the area and commenced practice with Newcastle Dermatology, Dr Amiri welcomes opportunities to meet and get to know you as colleagues. Our doctors are committed to providing a contribution to dermatology in the region and periodically host information sessions on various dermatologic conditions for their colleagues. Questions for our Team
Our Doctors are happy to speak to colleagues over the phone regarding patient’s conditions. We understand the importance of discussing certain patients’ conditions with their dermatologist and our doctors will make themselves available to do so during business hours. If the doctor is unable to take the call they will return the call as soon as possible.
We are currently able to take appointments within the month with our dermatologists. Please advise our practice staff if you are seeking an urgent appointment for a patient and an appointment will be made within the week.
